Practical guide
How to Remove a Green Screen from Video
Start with a short, well-lit clip. Choose the setting you want behind your subject, then check the result at the edges and during movement.
1. Prepare the footage
Trim your video to 10 seconds or less and keep the file under 25 MB. Give the subject clear lighting and avoid heavy motion blur. Uneven green screens are usable, but difficult edges can need another take.
2. Upload the video
Open the editor and select your file. Wait for the upload and duration check to finish before starting the edit.
3. Choose a replacement scene
Upload a background image or pick a background idea from the gallery. Choose a scene whose framing and lighting suit your subject.
Explore background ideas4. Check the moving result
Watch the entire clip, especially hair, hands, and fast movement. Compare the source with the result. If the edge is distracting, try clearer footage or a less contrasting backdrop.
5. Download the MP4
Download the edited video for your project. This workflow provides a standard MP4, not a verified transparent alpha-channel file.
What if there is no green screen?
The editor uses AI subject separation, so ordinary backgrounds can also work. Keep the subject distinct from the room and inspect fine details carefully.
